Repository with a good view!

Welcome to my ever-growing repository of design, ideas, and prototypes!

I’m Arnold—mighty front-end designer & developer who helps businesses grow with style. With degrees in Graphic Design, Communication, and Strength Training (yes, really), I flex my skills across print, web, branding, strategy, video, and music.

Here come a few shortcuts, but I highly recomend -> the long tour – mainly because of the buena vista!

Dithering Mayhem

In the 80s, gaming was born from limitations. With just 16 colors and 64kB, artists used tricks like dithering to turn blocky pixels into stunning worlds. Discover how creativity thrived when every byte and pixel counted.

The Long Tour

Because the best ideas don’t happen in a hurry—let’s take the scenic route. There’s more to discover than meets the eye. Or as Guybrush Threepwood once put it, “I’m not lost, I’m just... creatively misdirected!”

So, let's begin:

Design is Always a Question of Communication

Working closely with people over the last twenty years has instilled a deep sense of humility in me, particularly when it comes to maintaining a functioning and respectful partnership.

In my Early Years ...

I took this dynamic for granted, absorbed in my own perspectives and struggles. My "backpack" was brimming with socio-emotional challenges that seemed all-consuming.

Wander often, wonder always.

Back Then

My ‘social life’ was more about pixels than people. I spent countless hours in front of my C64, watching hacker-demos that felt like glimpses of a future I was still figuring out. Each line of code, each pixel shift, was a step in my journey of growth—not just as a designer, but as a person, too.

It was a time of inward focus, but also an exploration of who I was becoming. Sure, my computer didn’t offer much in the way of real-world soccer skills (I later chose volleyball), but it taught me how to build, how to create, and how to see things from new perspectives.

And the SID chip… Oh, the SID!

Its bleeps and bloops were like the soundtrack to my evolution, making every achievement feel like a mini celebration of the future I was designing. Have a listen ->

Getting sound from the SID chip has always been challenging, even with tools like Chris Hülsbeck’s SoundMonitor, which simplified the process of programming the SID by automating the tedious task of writing assembler code. Anyhow — the track you're hearing was composed in MilkyTracker, using SID samples, blending classic sound with modern tools.

Recognizing My Own Responsibilities

As I moved forward (which I eventually did), I began to recognize my own responsibilities within each relationship. Seeing my role clearly wasn’t easy, nor was the path toward building a more reflective personality.

It involved acknowledging my impact on others, understanding shared responsibilities, and facing my flaws. Learning to work collaboratively rather than combatively required a shift in mindset, one that could only come through experience and honest self-evaluation. In retrospect, these challenges were instrumental in my journey toward greater self-awareness.

Relationships as Mirrors

Each relationship became a mirror, reflecting both the best and the most challenging parts of myself. I grew to appreciate how others' perspectives and feedback helped me identify areas for growth I might never have noticed on my own.

This process wasn’t always comfortable—sometimes, it was intensely humbling. But every moment of self-doubt and discomfort pushed me further along the path of personal development. Gradually, my interactions became more intentional, driven by a desire not just to be understood, but to understand.

Learning from Others

Today, as I look back, I recognize the influence of every single colleague, friend, and partner who crossed my path. They’ve each left a unique imprint on me, shaping me in ways I couldn't have anticipated. Learning from others’ strengths, resilience, and insights provided a broader lens to view my own experiences and choices. Instead of competing, I learned to value and incorporate their wisdom, which deepened my own.

A Heartfelt Acknowledgment

Finally, this reflection isn’t just a retrospective display of lessons learned but a heartfelt acknowledgment. To everyone who has been part of this journey, I extend a genuine “Thank you.”

Thank you for the inspiration, for the patience, and for the chances to grow in ways I never could have alone.

This growth is something I cherish deeply, and I am grateful to each person who, knowingly or unknowingly, contributed to it.
